MADLOS Presents: Street Dance
6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Mondays, June 3 – August 27 from 6:30pm – 8:00pm, come to downtown Muskegon’s Olthoff Stage for free Latin or Swing dance lessons from MADLOS!  Start with a lesson, then try your moves on the sidewalk at these free events.  No partner or experience is needed.  While the cost is free, donations are appreciated.  Keep an eye on the MADLOS Facebook page to see what style of dance will be offered each week.

Team Trivia Game Show

Pigeon Hill Brewing Co: Monday Night Bike Ride

Beginning at 6:00pm, come to Pigeon Hill Brewing Co. to join in a group bicycle ride!  The goal is for everyone to start and finish together for a total ride time of 90 minutes. White Lake Chamber Music Festival
August 2 – August 11
The White Lake Chamber Music Festival announces a stunning 10-year anniversary season! August 2 – 11, this year’s festival and events held throughout the White Lake Area of Montague and Whitehall. Hear the Detroit Symphony Trio, featuring flutist Jeff Zook, violinist Sheryl Hwangbo, and cellist David Ledoux on Monday, August 5. They will perform music by Devienne, Piazolla, Edgar Girtan and others. This trio was formed in 2015 after the Detroit Symphony began its mission to bring symphonic and chamber music into the neighborhoods and communities surrounding Orchestra Hall and Detroit. Roll On Muskegon

Roll On Muskegon is a casual, family friendly, community bike ride on the streets of Muskegon. Every Monday night we leave as a group from the downtown Muskegon Farmer’s Market to visit and explore a different neighborhood of Muskegon.Casual, 8-10 mph for Approx. 90 minutes to get outside and wave to our neighbors.

Group Bicycle Tour

Meet in the parking lot behind Unruly Brewing Company every Tuesday at 6:00pm for a 90 minute group bike ride!  There are five different groups to fit your biking needs and abilities and helmets are strongly encouraged.  Loaner helmets are always available at City Hub Cyclery (585 W. Summer Concert Series: Matt Gabriel

White Lake Chamber Music Festival

The White Lake Chamber Music Festival announces a stunning 10-year anniversary season! This year’s festival and events held throughout Montague and Whitehall. August 6 at 7:30pm features Andrea Swan, Chicago’s own well-known chamber musician, collaborative pianist, orchestral keyboard player, soloist and teacher. She will perform works of Bach, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Franz, and Chopin. Classes will be held Wednesday mornings from 10:00am -11:00am. The drop-in rate is $10.  Join Diana and enjoy the serenity of the great lakes as she guides participants through stretching and balancing poses while focusing on breath work and relaxation. Muskegon Heritage Museum’s Community Days

Enjoy one of Muskegon’s “Amazing Museums” for free during Muskegon Heritage Museum’s Community Days!
The Heritage Museum is dedicated to preserving the economic, industrial and social history of the greater Muskegon area.  Their collection includes informational exhibits, artifacts and photos pertaining to Muskegon’s industries, historic homes and businesses.  They have a working steam engine with a line shaft that runs 11 machine tools as well as a working Brunswick pinsetter, a spring winding machine, and over 80 other companies represented in exhibits.  Don’t let the modest storefront fool you, the museum has over 12,000 square feet of display space, spanning three floors! Music and Beer at the Light: Catfish and the Man

Bring your blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy time together listening to music while visiting and exploring the White River Light Station. The museum and tower will be open for the standard admission charge of $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under.  In case of rain, events will be held at the Fruitland Township Office (4545 Nestrom Rd., Whitehall, MI 49461) Friday, August 9 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, it’s “Music and Beer at the Light” featuring “Catfish and the Man!” Come enjoy your favorite Fetch Beer and the music of Catfish and the Man on the grounds of the White River Light Station. Summer Adventures at Muskegon Winter Sports Complex

The Muskegon Winter Sports Complex is open Saturdays and Sundays in the summer from 10:00am – 2:00pm so you can enjoy a variety of warm weather sporting activities.
Wheel Luge: Slide down the only wheel luge track in North America! Wheel luge is done on a specially designed track with the same sleds used on the ice, but with wheels attached. The design of the track, adaptive equipment and surrounding common areas also accommodate persons with disabilities. Shorter than the ice track, average runs take approximately 9 seconds while covering 300 feet of track. Tickets for summer luge are not sold in advance. Guests are served on a first come, first served basis, but wait times are rarely more than 15 minutes. The cost is $10 for 4 runs, and $15 for the archery add-on.  All equipment and instruction are provided with the purchase of a pass. Sneakers, long sleeve shirts and long pants are highly recommended to protect your skin from fiberglass “burns” in case you brush up against the side of the luge track. Participants must be at least 5 years of age. Learn Archery Fundamentals:
Muskegon State Park visitors can stop by the Sports Complex for a round of archery guided by an instructor. All participants receive a quick lessonof the basic fundamentals of archery. Participants can then shoot rounds of arrows at the controlled archery range. This activity is fun for ages 6 and older.The cost is $10 for 5 rounds of arrows, and $15 for luge add-on.

Princess Party with Chef Char

Bring the kids to Kitchen 242 at The Muskegon Farmers Market for a “Princess Party” with Chef Char! Come and bake cookies with Chef Char and Princess Tiana and Princess Elsa.  Be sure to wear your princess costume because there will be plenty of opportunities for photos with the princesses.  Each little princess will roll, decorate and bake a dozen princess-themed cookies to take home.   This is for ages 5 and up.  The cost is $45 and tickets are available through Eventbrite.com.

Free Kids Yoga at the Market

Classes will focus on poses, partner/group games, and simple breathing/relaxation techniques to harness mental focus, manage stress, strength and empowerment. The class will be uniquely shaped based upon the interests and energy of students present that day, weaving together creative storytelling, lots of nature and animal poses, making silly sounds, imaginary play, and ample opportunity to express one’s own true vibrant nature! Mondays, June 3 – August 27 from 6:30pm – 8:00pm, come to downtown Muskegon’s Olthoff Stage for free Latin or Swing dance lessons from MADLOS!  Start with a lesson, then try your moves on the sidewalk at these free events.  No partner or experience is needed.  While the cost is free, donations are appreciated.  Keep an eye on the MADLOS Facebook page to see what style of dance will be offered each week.
