Día de los Muertos Celebration

Day of the Dead, as it is known in English, is a largely Mexican holiday seen as having a festive characteristic. We will be celebrating and remembering family and friends with crafts, music, and fellowship. This program is in collaboration with Latinos Working for the Future. Drop-in, youth of all ages/families. Free!
Feel welcome to bring something meaningful in memory of those you have loved and we’ll add it to our traditional, interactive Ofrenda upstairs in HPL’s Youth Services Department.
November Youth Take and Make Kits
Available beginning November 4, and through the month while supplies last.
Cornucopia – Make your very own cornucopia and fill it with all of the thankfulness you have found throughout your year.
You can also fill this horn of plenty with all of your family’s thanks and share them at the end of the month!
Turkey Puppet – Gobble, gobble, gobble!! These adorable turkey puppets are fun to make and more fun to present a rousing turkey puppet show!
These kits are FREE and available beginning November 4 from HPL, while supplies last.
Paws and Read with Breezy and Dolly

We have four-legged reading helpers in Hackley Library’s Youth Services! Practice and strengthen literacy skills by reading out loud to our friendly therapy dogs, Breezy and Dolly, who are calm, non-judgmental listeners.
